Navin is responsible for overseeing the mission to facilitate seamless business establishment and expansion for Indian companies in the US, and vice versa for US companies in India.
His business mantra is 'people listen if they like you but do business when they trust you'. Built on trust, he has assisted hundreds of companies to establish and expand their business cross-border.
He has successfully managed, and executed high-impact US & India market expansion projects for many business enterprises, including that of Electronics and Computer Software (ESC) Export Promotion Council, funded by Govt. of India.
Navin holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University in Virginia and a Master's degree in Engineering Management.
Shri Manish Kulhary
Consul Trade, Consulate General of India in NY
Manish Kulhary has joined as Consul (Trade and Commerce) in August 2022 at the Consulate General of India, New York and belongs to 2008 batch.
His previous assignments have included stint in the Customs Administration and Law Enforcement where he was involved in work related to taxation, audit, drug law enforcement and general administration.
In his present position, he is responsible for furthering the Indian trade and commerce with the US and to encourage investments into India. In addition, keeps a close liaison with the Trade authorities of USA and represents Indian trade and business interests in the US.
Before joining the Government, Mr. Kulhary worked with shipping company in Mumbai.
He is a member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India and possess degree in Law from Delhi University. He is based out of New York where he lives with his wife, son and daughter.

JP Richer
Northeast Regional Account Manager
Jean-Paul (JP) Richer is the Northeast Regional Account Manager for the Commercial Outreach Team in the Port Department of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. JP has been with the agency since 2016, establishing himself as a member of the New Jersey Marine Terminals’ Port Operations Team. During this time, he gained considerable experience facilitating day to day operations with port operators and tenants, assisting with the management of port infrastructure rehabilitation and repair projects, coordinating emergency response efforts among local and federal agencies as well as maintaining a fluid and efficient port gateway ecosystem to support regional supply chain and flow of commerce.
The Port of NY & NJ is the largest seaport on the U.S. eastern seaboard and is made up of Port Authority Facilities that the Port Department is responsible for operating and maintaining. JP’s role as a member of the Port Department’s Business Development and Industry Relations Group includes responsibilities such as developing and maintaining relationships with shippers and beneficial cargo owners located in the Northeastern U.S. as well as developing marketing programs, communication strategies and business initiatives to promote business in the Port of NY & NJ.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Farleigh Dickenson University and is a Retired, U.S. Coast Guard Veteran with over 20 years of honorable, military service.
Dan Gastaldi

Daniel Gastaldi is a Data/Logistics Analyst and Program Manager with a rich background in the marine and ground transportation industries. Prior to joining the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, he was a Ferry Boat Captain, Car Service Dispatcher and served in United States Navy. He brings a wealth of experience in marine operations and data analytics. With a keen eye for data and a passion for the supply chain industry, Daniel is committed to driving growth and success at the Port of New York and New Jersey and FTZ 49.
Lori Kuo
Chief Agriculture Specialist
Chief Agriculture Specialist Lori Kuo started her career with US Customs and Border Protection in 2009 at the Port of New York/Newark and has been with the Port ever since.
She currently oversees the agriculture cargo operations for the Port including its Maritime, Compliance, and Express and USPS Mail operations.
Vishal Patel
Import Specialist
Import Specialist Vishal Patel graduated Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. He started his career with the Food and Drug Administration in 2010 at Division of Northeast Imports.
He handles routine and complex assignments of FDA regulated products and often works in conjunction with Customs and Border Protection to assure that the products are safe for the US consumers.
Jonathan C. Veley
Director, Trade Activities
Jonathan C. Veley is the Director of Trade Activities at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service. He is responsible for managing an agency wide portfolio of trade systems, including import/export certificate systems and international oversight systems. He also serves as a senior policy advisor for the agency on cross governmental program initiatives and leads the agency as the business owner for the international organic traceability and oversight system.
Prior to his role at USDA, Mr. Veley was the Chief of Readiness and Deployment, within the Office of Trade, at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). At CBP he was responsible for stakeholder engagement and end user support for the development, modernization, and change management initiatives for the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
He holds an M.S. in Educational Administration and Leadership from the State University of New York at Brockport, and a B.A. in History from the State University of New York at Potsdam. He also is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Bridget McElroy
Assistant Director, Trade Activities
Bridget McElroy is an Assistant Director of Trade Activities at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service, National Organic Program (NOP). She is responsible for managing the NOP’s organic trade arrangements and other work to facilitate fair and compliant organic trade. Since joining the NOP in 2015, Bridget has also served in other positions throughout the program, including in organic standards development and certifier accreditation, giving her broad experience in organic regulatory, production and trade issues.
Prior to USDA, Bridget worked in the private sector implementing domestic and international projects in agriculture, food policy and rural development. Bridget also served as an agriculture volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps, where she worked on certification and market development with organic coffee producers in Ecuador.
Bridget holds an M.S. in Agriculture & Food Policy and B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University.
Tiffany R Mauro
Port Director, Linden NJ Plant Inspection Station
In 2005 I Graduated with a BA in Biology and a minor in Environmental Studies from Drew University. After graduating, I started working for NJDA’s Phillip Alampi Beneficial Insect Laboratory as a BioAid working on the survey and release of beneficial insects to control various invasive species such as Hemlock Woolly Adelgid and Purple Loosestrife. I then briefly worked as a research assistant for the NYC Dept. of Health on the West Nile Virus Program. I started my career with USDA APHIS PPQ in 2005 with the NJ Asian Longhorned Beetle Eradiation Program.
I remained with the program until eradication in 2013, during this time I also completed my Masters in Entomology in 2012. Starting in 2013 I served in various positions within APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) which included PPQ Officer at the Plant Inspection Station, Pest Survey Specialist of DE and NJ and Spotted Lanternfly Supervisor in NJ. Since 2021 I have served as the Port Director at the Linden, NJ Plant Inspection Station where I oversee the planning and management of inspections, treatments, and survey/eradication programs as well as the enforcement of federal quarantines.
