Consul General of India in New York Inaugurates U.S.–India Collaborative Corridor in New Jersey
The 5,800-square-foot cross-border business and trade hub supports Indian manufacturers, emerging brands and technology companies expanding into the United States, while connecting American businesses with opportunities in India. Already home to seven incubating Indian companies, USICC showcases products from over 50 Indian brands, including those featured in the ODOP Marketplace.
PISCATAWAY, N.J., October 15, 2026 — Ambassador Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, Consul General of India in New York, officially inaugurated the U.S.–India Collaborative Corridor (USICC), a 5,800-square-foot cross-border business and trade hub established by EntryOpen in Piscataway, New Jersey, to help Indian companies establish and expand in the United States while creating practical pathways for American businesses pursuing opportunities in India.
The inauguration brought together more than 100 representatives from government, business and institutions. Already operational, USICC is home to seven incubating Indian companies establishing a continuing U.S. presence, while showcasing products from over 50 Indian brands seeking greater visibility and engagement with American buyers.
In his inaugural remarks, Ambassador Pradhan connected USICC to Mission 500, the India–U.S. ambition to expand bilateral trade to $500 billion by 2030. He emphasized the importance of bringing new Indian exporters, American importers, products and ways of conducting trade into the bilateral relationship, recognizing USICC as a practical initiative contributing to that ambition.
“I wish that we had such initiatives in the other parts of the United States and also back home in India to promote the trade between our two countries,” Ambassador Pradhan said during his remarks on the initiative.
The inauguration included a ribbon cutting and traditional lamp lighting led by Ambassador Pradhan, joined by Rajlakshmi Kadam, Consul (Trade), Consulate General of India, New York; New Jersey Assemblyman Sterley Stanley; Piscataway Mayor Brian C. Wahler; and USICC co-founders Navin Pathak and Jayanti Chandrasekar. The Consul General also unveiled the ODOP Marketplace and toured the Corridor.
Edison Mayor Samip “Sam” Joshi attended alongside representatives of Choose New Jersey, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), Middlesex County and the broader business community.
ODOP Marketplace Unveiled
The inauguration also marked the unveiling of the ODOP Marketplace within the larger USICC facility.
Supporting the Government of India's One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, the Marketplace showcases regional products and craftsmanship from 12 Indian states, including textiles, metalwork, tea, beverages and other goods highlighted by Ambassador Pradhan.
Integrated into USICC's continuing business environment, the Marketplace provides opportunities for American buyers, distributors and visiting delegations to discover Indian products, interact with participating companies and explore commercial relationships beyond temporary exhibitions.
Ambassador Pradhan also highlighted New Jersey's importance to India–U.S. trade, including the Port of New York and New Jersey and the concentration of American importers across the tri-state region. USICC's Piscataway location provides access to Newark Liberty International Airport, major seaport facilities, New York City and the broader Northeast market.
A Business Relationship Is an Ongoing Process
USICC grew out of the experience of Entry USA and Entry India, operating under the EntryOpen brand, which have assisted more than 1,000 companies with business establishment, market entry and operational requirements.
Through that work, a recurring challenge became clear: Indian exporters need affordable, continuing opportunities to present products to American buyers beyond costly, short-duration trade exhibitions. American businesses exploring India face a different challenge — identifying reliable partners and navigating market entry without an established local network.
USICC was conceived and founded by Navin Pathak and Jayanti Chandrasekar as a practical response to these needs.
“Trade relationships grow through continuing engagement between businesses,” said Navin Pathak, Co-Founder of USICC and CEO of Entry USA and Entry India. “We wanted Indian manufacturers to have a year-round place where American buyers could see, experience and sample their products; Indian technology companies to have a platform for U.S. market-entry acceleration; and American businesses to have a trusted starting point for exploring India, backed by our operating presence in both countries. USICC brings these opportunities together in one continuing business environment.”
The Corridor's Business Lounge, private offices, meeting rooms and product showcase areas provide the physical infrastructure for continuing business engagement and U.S. market presence.
From Buyer Interest to Business Execution
USICC connects two essential parts of cross-border business.
The first focuses on market engagement through product showcases, buyer meetings, sampling, delegations and curated events, helping generate interest and initiate commercial discussions.
The second connects emerging opportunities with operational execution, including company establishment, offices, warehousing, fulfillment, customs coordination, trucking and global-mobility support through EntryOpen.
For Indian technology companies and startups, USICC also provides market-entry acceleration capabilities, connecting founders with prospective enterprise customers, investors, industry partners and resources for establishing U.S. operations.
For American businesses, the Corridor serves as a physical starting point in New Jersey, backed by EntryOpen's operating presence in both countries. Through Entry India, companies can explore Indian suppliers, manufacturing partners, distribution, market expansion, business establishment and Global Capability Centers (GCCs), with on-the-ground support in India.
Indian Brands Building Their U.S. Presence
The Corridor brings together established brands such as P-TAL and Two Brothers Organic Farms, alongside emerging businesses including Acaii Living, Purple Lume and Saakya, among others.
For established companies, USICC provides opportunities to strengthen buyer engagement and develop distribution relationships. For emerging brands, it offers an accessible way to introduce products, receive market feedback and begin developing commercial relationships without immediately establishing an independent U.S. showroom.
An Ecosystem Already in Motion
USICC builds on EntryOpen's ongoing engagement with companies, investors, trade organizations and institutions through business delegations, technology programs and buyer–seller interactions.
On September 21, EntryOpen partnered with NASSCOM to organize the Investor Connect & U.S. Market Access Forum at the NJ AI Hub, connecting 18 Indian DeepTech companies with 10 investors and four market-access experts.
Earlier, in June, EntryOpen brought a delegation of 19 Indian companies to New Jersey and facilitated their visit to Choose New Jersey's Newark office, connecting them with the state's economic-development ecosystem.
USICC is already conducting AI-focused events, buyer–seller meetings and business engagements to connect participating companies with prospective customers, distributors, investors and operating partners. These programs are designed to develop sales opportunities, support technology companies pursuing U.S. market entry and connect American businesses with sourcing, manufacturing and operational opportunities in India.
Building What Comes Next
Following its inauguration, USICC plans to welcome additional showcasing and incubating companies, expand sector-specific buyer engagements, strengthen technology and investor connections, and develop further cross-border business opportunities between India and the United States.
“The inauguration is an important milestone, but what matters most is what happens here afterward — the buyers who discover new products, the companies that establish operations, the partnerships that develop, and the business opportunities that move forward,” Pathak said.
